Hello.

I have 2 related requests for help on this topic
We run classes and have multiple streams in a class (same location-address).

Part 1 – Linking EE Events
Each stream (first aid certifications) is its own sub-event in the master event (the class). We would like to link these events to 1 main event and also manage the class limit to a limit number – when totaling all linked sub-event headcount, this should not exceed the LIMIT for the Master event. Once it does, all sub-events should close their registrations. Today, we manage these cases manually. How do we automate this in EE3?

See example below with a class limit of 14 people.
All sub-events are occurring at the same location.
for example.
Location A Class LIMIT is 14 people (Sept 1-2)
– Stream 1: Sept 1-2 9am-5pm both days Cost $X – 8 registered.
– Stream 2: Sept 1 – 9am- 2:30pm (1 day only) Cost $Y – 4 registered
– Stream 3: Sept 1 – 9am-5pm, (1 day only) Cost $Z – 2 registered

Part 2 – Exporting
Exporting this information to create 1 class roster for Sept 1-2, with participant certification streams. . How do we export all liked sub-events into 1 csv file? Today we export each sub-event and consolidate this into 1 class master event file.

*** Who can you recommend in Canada that has the EE3 expertise that can do this customization?

Hi Mario,

What you are trying to do can be done much easier within EE4, in fact with EE4 you may not need any customizations at all.

So may I ask, is there a reason you are sticking with EE3? It is likely that your development time spent customizing EE3 to do this would be much better spent switching to EE4.

Just a heads up, what you are looking to do is not straight forward, it may sound it paper but within EE3 it’s not a simple task. Your quotes from anyone with experience with Event Espresso will likely reflect that.

Having said that, all of the developers we know of that work with Event Espresso are listed here:

Or the folks at Codeable.

thank you for this note. I will look into EE4.

Can you recommend a good EE4 developer in Canada.
