How does as user make a final payment for an incomplete transaction that has an approved registration?
We have several folks who for whatever reason have not completed their transaction (Using PayPal Standard only) are trying to log back in and make payment, but their cart shows empty so their is no way to “Proceed to Checkout” again.
Their session has already expired if they are seeing an empty event queue. If they started their payment but did not finish the payment (e.g. something came up and they stepped away from their computer), then you can go to the transaction screen and click the send payment reminder button.
If they selected tickets but did not move further, then they would need to register again as new.
Only registrations with a status of approved will count against any limits that you have set either on the ticket options or the datetimes that the ticket options are linked to. That happens immediately after a free registration is complete and after a paid registration receives a payment.
Thanks for that advice. Many of our attendees are 70+ years old and don’t have computers and we have to manually enter their credit card payment info or check. So how do we handle it in that case?
Event Espresso needs a name and an email so I would try out this workflow:
1) Create an email alias that your team will use for over the phone registrations
2) Register them through the front-end and use their name but use that email alias
Then you can process the payment during registration checkout through a payment method that you have enabled.
