The Mailchimp add-on is only available for purchase with the prior purchase of the Event Espresso 3.1 Personal Support license, but is included with the purchase of the Business and Developer support licenses.
So I’m clear, if you want the MailChimp integration, you have to purchase BOTH the $90 Personal License AND the MailChimp add-on, or purchase the $180 business license or higher. Correct?
If so, you should consider offering this as a paid add-on for the free version as well. I would gladly pay $30 for this ability, but it’s not worth $120, so I am now forced to look for another option, which essentially means you just lost a $30 sale. Not a lot of money, sure, but I doubt I’m the only one who has run into this.
That is correct. The MailChimp add-on requires either purchasing the Personal license and the Mailchimp add-on, or purchasing the Business License.
Please note that the MailChimp add-on will simply not work with the Lite version of our plugin.
Thank you for the feedback. This is something we have considered previously; a more modular approach to selling licenses for our add-ons. However, we have not made the decision to do so at this time.
