Hello !
I have 2 troubles with mail atm on our test website http://chronopro.biznetaucoeur.com/courses/trail-de-saint-max/

First, the templates I edited in the admin to force the subject and title to French are still in english when I recieve the notifications, as if it didn’t take my modifications, either in the mail template content and in the shortcodes parts.

Secondly, when I try to register 2 attendees, the “normal” behavior would be to have a confirmation to the first attendee listing all of them, then a single registration notice for every attendee.
When I try to do it, I get as the first attendee twice an email with my own informations, but not for the second one.
For example, 2 registration with names John Doe and Jane Doe, I will get the John Doe email twice and no Jane Doe.

What could it come from please ? Is that because I use another question group than “personnal information” for the registrations, because I don’t want the email to be mandatory for every attendee ?

Thank you already !

Hi, that sounds like how the notifications system should work.

I do have a question on the additional attendees. Are you collecting emails for those attendees (e.g. required personal question group via the event editor)?

If not, then any registration information would be associated with the primary registrant.

Well, as I can’t force registrant to all give their emails as mandatory field, I didn’t use the personal question group for it, so I can see why Jane Doe doesn’t get the email.

What bothers me more is that I, as the primary registrant, only get informations about my own registration twice, and the Jane Doe informations are nowhere to be seen in the generated mails. Shouldn’t I have in my order confirmation a list of all the paid registration with, for each, the combinations question / answser ?

The other point is also a trouble as I will have a lot of changes to do on the templates (including removal of social network links and translation)

Hi, you won’t see Jane Doe appearing in your emails as that record is being linked to the primary registrant.

The personal question group would need to be enabled to have that information in the emails.

What question groups are being collected for the additional registrants?

A custom one name “Participant”, which take some infos like their adherent number for a federation and a few other things, as well as the name and forname.

So there is no way my primary registrant gets a list of registration, to be sure he really have the good information for his 2, 3, 5, … attendees ?

Right, but the name is being collected via custom question that you created?

If so, then that would not be considered a completely separate attendee/registrant as the information would be associated with the primary registrant.

For example, if you look in the registrations overview table, you may see something like this:

Test user 1 of 3

Test user 2 of 3

Test user 3 of 3

If you turn on the person information group for additional attendees, then it work as you expected. You can also turn on the registration approved message type for the primary registrant as that sends out a summarized list of attendees.

In the registration table, everything is ok for th admin to export data.
But, here is what I get when I register 2 attendees in my mail, though both are added in the export :

Question: Nom
Answer: Langinier
Question: Prénom
Answer: Jean-Pascal
Question: Sexe
Answer: M
Question: Club
Answer: biznetaucoeur
Question: Numéro de licence FFA
Answer: 1
Question: Email

I receive that email twice, and I never get the mail listing my attendees, even on my primary registrant email.

On the other matter, I can’t change anything in the emails as the template modifications aren’t taken into account, which is a lot more annoying than the registrations, which I can disable at the moment.

Hi Jean-Pascal, I removed your email as our support forums are partially public.

Can you post a screenshot of your messages overview screen?

Hello again, could you help me with the translations?

Specifically, which message type here are you having trouble with (the one that is not accepting your edits)?

http://chronopro.biznetaucoeur.com/wp-content/uploads/ee1.png

The reason I ask is your second screenshot has a message type loaded but it is inactive as there is nothing in the TO (A) field.

Hello,
I’m having trouble with every mail, as I changed the subject of all mails.

If you tell me they are not sent, then the trouble might be why do I still get the “Event Payment Details” mails and “Event Registration Details”

The translated list :
– Payment received
– Refund sent
– Registration approved
– Registration refused
– pending Registration
– note ?
– Payment reminder
– Payment refused
– rejected registration
– aborted registration

This message template – http://chronopro.biznetaucoeur.com/wp-content/uploads/ee2.png

Is the Event Admin message template, and is not active (the TO field is empty).

At the top of that page you should see something like this – http://take.ms/KNW7E

Which shows your current ‘context’ for your message.

Take a look here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/messages-system-working-with-message-contexts/

Then to confirm, are you editing the correct template for the correct ‘context’?
