Hi Event Espresso,
I love your plugin, you really did a good job with it!

I have a few questions, loose ends I can’t figure out:
1. On the single events page there is LOCATION as a header, and directly below that is again the word LOCATION with the link following. Can I remove that 2nd location, because it’s double now.

2. Can I hide “Goes on Sale”? I want to use it for early bird tickets but it’s a bit strange to see the date after the Early bird tickets already.

3. How can I change the button text “KOPEN” (Dutch for buy) into REGISTREER (because it’s an event my client loves to see register now in stead of buy) If I search it in the translation files on translate.eventespresso.com it works but it shows different.

Hope u can help me out, thanks a lot!

Thank you for the feedback, I’m glad you like EE.

Can you link us to the page so we can view this please?

2. Can I hide “Goes on Sale”? I want to use it for early bird tickets but it’s a bit strange to see the date after the Early bird tickets already.

I’m not sure I understand. Do you see ‘Goes On Sale’ on your early bird tickets?

Can you link us to an example maybe? It is possible to hide the Goes on sale’ text but I just wan to make sure I’m giving you the correct option.

You can change the text using translation files from the link you provided, however we will need to know the exact button you are referring to. The ticket selector button?

I can’t find ‘KOPEN’ within the dutch translations files currently.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. Here’s the link to the page; http://www.hippocratesmedicalservices.nl/events/

The early bird ticket’s are off right now. But the problem was I had early bird tickets and wanted the price to go up after a certain date. So I created 2 tickets, one with discount and one for a month later without, but then the regular tickets said “Goes on sale on” and I don’t like that for early bird/regular tickets.

Btw the button “kopen” I have changed it in the translation but that didn’t work..

The easiest method to removing the pending tickets from view is to hide them using CSS:

.ticket-pending {
    display: none;
}

That should prevent them from being visible until the ticket is active.

1. On the single events page there is LOCATION as a header, and directly below that is again the word LOCATION with the link following. Can I remove that 2nd location, because it’s double now.

You can use some custom CSS to remove the additional header:

.ee-event-h3 {
    display: none;
}

3. How can I change the button text “KOPEN” (Dutch for buy) into REGISTREER (because it’s an event my client loves to see register now in stead of buy) If I search it in the translation files on translate.eventespresso.com it works but it shows different.

Within Dashboard -> Settings -> General -> Site language.

What is the option set to? I can not find a ‘kopen’ translation to how this is happening.

Hi Tony, Thanks for your answer! The first 2 worked, thanks very much! For no.3 the site language is set to Nederlands (Dutch)

Hi Miriam,

We have a translation guide for Event Espresso here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-translate-event-espresso/

You could get a copy of the PO file from GlotPress and then edit it with a program like POedit to change the button labels and then generate an MO file and update to your site.
