Is there is best-practice or suggestions for how other folks handle registration data in the long-term. The customer I am working with is wondering if it’s possible to use EE as a the long-term storage so in 5 years they can go back and see who registered for a training event and add check payments long after the event has happened.
Is it possible to Archive in EE? Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated. Jace.
There isn’t a way to “Archive” the data, but we do recommend taking backups as a precaution. The registration/payment data will remain in your site’s database and can be accessed via the Event Espresso user interface long after the event has happened.
Thanks Josh. My only concern is the UI isn’t geared for sorting and managing the records of the DB and I’d be worried that having a DB with hundreds of events might slow things (but I know very little about databases). The customer is thinking of using Airtable to manage these moving forward, so exporting to the CSV is fine for that. I’ll submit a feature request for integration with that platform, but I know it’s a long shot.
Thanks again for all your help! The EE team is great!
