I have used the Upload New Logo to both choose my current logo and also uploaded a logo, but the blank line does not show any logo has been uploaded.

Your assistance is appreciated!

Hi, are any errors appearing during the upload?

Are you seeing an existing image for the existing logo?

No errors happen – it allows me to choose an image, but nothing actually happens.

I am using the latest EE4 (updated today)

Here is the page I am using:

Hi Sakirose,

Using your browser can you go to yousite.com/wp-admin/options.php

**Change yousite.com for your sites actual domain.

Search for ‘image_default_link_type’ and check that the value relevant for that field is set to ‘file’, like this – http://take.ms/8SsSL

If not change it to match the image and save the options.

Once that has been set retry uploading the logo.

I went to ‘image_default_link_type’ and put file in the blank field.

I am uncertain which of the many fields you need me to do this: “Change yousite.com for your sites actual domain.”

Just that one field (image_default_link_type)!

After editing and scrolling to the bottom and saving, did it resolve the issue?

No, I still cannot upload any logo. I updated the field and hit save, but it shows empty again each time.

Please see this link to see what I am referring to:

Hi,

If it is not saving, it might well be your theme or a plugin that is reverting it back (we have seen that before).

I would suggest swapping to a default theme such as twentytwelve temporarily to see if that makes a difference (you may want to do a backup prior to this just to be on the safe side).

If that doesn’t make a difference, disable all addons barring Event Espresso and see if that helps.

If it does then you will need to reactivate each one individually, and test the setting each time to see what is causing the issue.

I have created a staging site, used the default WP theme and deactivated all plugins, but still not logo will upload in EE4 General Settings.

I can send you a login password if that helps.

Can you please check your server error logs to see if there are any errors reported there? Are you able to upload images in other plugins and posts?

sakirose

Yes, I can upload images fine to blogs, posts, and everything but Event Espresso. There are no plugins or themes on except EE4. I can send you a login if you like.

Hi,

Did you check the error logs?

By all means send login details via this link https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/, but we do need to know if there was anything in the error logs.

I sent you an admin login. I looked at the logs and this is what I get, but that’s not my IP address:

Hi, I replaced your logo with another image.

Here are the steps that I followed (similar to inserting an image on a WP post or page):

Login to WordPress admin and go to Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Your Organization.

Scroll down to the Company Logo area and click on the Remove Image link. Then save changes by clicking on the blue Save button in the top right side of the screen.

Now we need to upload a new image.

Click on the upload image button and then click on the Select files option that appears in the pop up window. Browse to the file on your computer and click on it. It will begin to upload and then you can click on insert into post after the upload has completed.

Then save changes again by clicking on the blue Save button in the top right corner of the screen.

BTW: this was done on the staging site that you shared privately with our team.

Hi Lorenzo, that seems simple enough, but there is no Remove Image Link. Please see this screenshot taken in Safari and Chrome browsers:

These steps (https://eventespresso.com/topic/logo-will-not-upload-in-ee4/#post-103321) were done on the staging site which already had an existing image uploaded.

Upload a new image and then click on insert into post. Then save changes.
