Hello,

Is there a specific list of PHP & Apache modules needed to run EE4?

As the support team might remember, my installations on my DO Ubuntu server gets EE4 into the ‘Nothing in Event Queue’ error. I never got that fixed and instead opted to move it off to shared hosting account to do development there. It worked of course.

I’ve been trying to figure out what is different. There is no caching of any sort, not even APC. But I did find out that PHP curl was not on my server.

Which made me wonder – is PHP Curl needed?

What other stuff are needed? Can we have a list?

Cheers!

Hi Jon, have you had a chance to try the requirements check plugin for Event Espresso?

Hello Lorenzo,

I have used that but it basically just says – You have the min but missing some recommended modules etc. However it does not say what are the recommended ones.

Hi, we are updating the plugin this week and should have a newer version published for next week.

Are PHP sessions enabled on your site?

Hi Lorenzo,

Thanks for the reply. It’s not a php session issue, it’s definitely enabled. The last I tried to troubleshoot with the support here was ended with confusion all around. We couldn’t figure out what is wrong.

Mobile devices on mobile networks could register fine. But connect to a WIFI and I get the ‘Nothing in event queue’ error.

But I digress, I just want to get to the bottom of this – so I’ll wait for that plugin to be released!

Hi Jon,

Was that with any Wifi network or one specific Wifi network where the Nothing in your event queue error happened?

Hi Jon,

Which made me wonder – is PHP Curl needed?

cURL not being installed should not cause ‘Nothing in your event queue’ although it is requird for some of the payment methods to function, so I would recommend installing it.

Also Stripe requires MBString and JSON to be enabled.

Did you follw any specific tutorials to set up your DO server or do it solo? I’d be interested to know what is preventing this working.
