Just bought EE4.
We would like to have a list of events on the homepage inside a widget
With a small thumbnail and 4 lines
Something like this

So it integrate into our special deals section (we are testing it at this URL: http://crazypricetravel.ca/)

Hi Nicholas,

Event Espresso 4 has an upcoming events widget.

You can find it in WordPress admin –> Appearance –> Widgets:

Hi Lorenzo, thank you for your help…
I know, if you look at the Homepage of our test website, you’ll notice how ugly your widget looks:

URL: http://crazypricetravel.ca/
I have tried ALL sized photos (thumbnails, rectangular, square), but they all look alike, basically the picture take the whole width and the title goes over the photo, not counting the list styling, etc…
Maybe your CSS styling is not specific enough?
We would like something more like your Table styling in version EE3.
Like this: http://hpics.li/17e45d8
But with the thumbnail of the event instead of the calendar image

Hi,

With it being a widget, our styling is NOT specific, and this is on purpose. We expect the theme to be styling widget lists correctly.

I think one issue is that the widget is not in a sidebar (is this a custom widget area?), which is where the theme seems to be expecting it.

If you force it to believe it is in the sidebar it changes to this http://take.ms/XWAHu

The title over the image seems to be theme specific.

If you require a designer to help style your site, you could contact one of our recommended developers – https://eventespresso.com/developers/event-espresso-pros/

Thank you Dean,
Approx, how much would it cost us to Style our custom widget area to look like we want?

Hi Nicolas,

We can’t quote custom work on behalf of the Event Espresso professionals.

It would be best to take a look at a couple developers and then reach out to some that interest you to get more information:
