Hello, Our company is trying to set up your plug in for the first time. While doing so, our technical support within our company followed these steps in WordPress- 1) Going into the Critical Pages and trying to hide them (Edit > click on boxes providing hide options). This didn’t work. So I went to “Appearance > Menus” and, for each page I wanted to hide “Edit” and “Remove”. I did this for the following pages: Thank You, Registration Cancelled, Registration Checkout Unfortunately, the link for “Register” goes to an error page. Our tech admin just followed the Setup Guide for Espresso. Barring any conflicts with Themes, other Plugins, etc. it should just work if you follow the guide. We do not believe there to be any conflict with Themes/other Plugins at this time. We are hoping to get this resolved so that our patrons can purchase tickets through our website. You can see the issue here: where the page cannot be found. Any help is greatly appreciated. |
Hi there,
Event Espresso doesn’t have section for ‘hide options’ so I’m guessing this is something from your theme? May I ask why you want to hide the pages? And from where? If it’s the Nav Menu loading in the header I posted some details in your other thread for this HERE. It looks like you’ve done that after the above, but I’m wondering what those hide options are doing and if that is causing issues here.
This is the correct method to remove pages from a menu (including the nav menu on your site).
Following the Setup guide will get most users up and running out of the box, there’s isn’t all that much to configure within EE to get it to work out of the box. Customizing outputs can be a little more tricky, but the above appears to be something your theme is doing with menu’s rather than EE. The page not working could be a conflict, especially with those hide options as I don’t know what they are doing. However… looking over your site it appears the links are currently working? I was able to use the links you provided above to register and get to the payment options of the event: https://monosnap.com/file/KPTUyHLbjTILbuniiTe9aqyg72QZ4Y Is that still not working for you? Side note, do you not want to include the ticket selector directly on your ‘Banner ticket page’? If you let me know what the expected registration flow on your site is I can advise how to set up EE to suit. |
