Hello,

That does not sound like an option from Event Espresso.

Where on your site are you seeing that link?

Hi,

I was able to find the link which is from the WP User integration. Your events are member only so an account is required for registration.

I’m in the United States and the link works for me: https://cl.ly/0P342O1e3O0i

Do you have any security features on your WordPress site that limit traffic from certain countries?

And when you say the page is empty, is it completed blank as in no content? If so, this may be something different such as an error.

Are you familiar with a site error_log from your webhost or have you used a tool like WordPress debugging before (https://gist.github.com/lorenzocaum/848801a1173be464fbe7)?

Hi there,

The first link doesn’t help narrow down the cause and the second appears to be broken can you check that please.

I tried to register onto your event and the register for an account form worked – http://take.ms/vTabt (I’m based in the UK)

Does the error happen AFTER that page? As in do we need to register onto the site to see the problem?

Also can you answer Lorenzo’s question please:

And when you say the page is empty, is it completed blank as in no content? If so, this may be something different such as an error.

Its important as it narrows down the error further.

Hello,

In the second screenshot, it shows that you are further in registration checkout so you were likely logged-in during that test.

Lets take another look at my earlier feedback. If the page is white as in completely blank, then an error is appearing. You can enabled debugging for WordPress to get the cause of that error and then turn it off right after.

Add the constant in the following link to your wp-config.php file:

https://gist.github.com/lorenzocaum/848801a1173be464fbe7#file-gistfile1-php

The wp-config.php file can be found in the WordPress root which is where the wp-admin, wp-content, and other files and folders for WordPress resides.

Then please try to trigger the error and you may something on the screen. Could you copy and paste that here into a reply?

If you do not see an error on your screen, then please browse to this location using your SFTP or FTP client (e.g. FileZilla, Cyberduck):

/wp-content/debug.log

You should see an error recorded within the file. Please copy and paste that here in a reply.

Then go ahead and immediately deactivate WordPress debugging by removing the constant that was recently added (or setting it to false) and saving changes:

I haven’t yes fully read your replies but
want to add:
– the specific event is “km quest 1.0 juin 2017”
the one enter via the :Francias luanguange
– i duplicated this event: “km quest 1.0 juin 2017 (.)”
– about the blank page, (sorry for not mentioning earlier)
I assumed it was a blank page, by the feedback from France,
– but as I found out, it is the link “register for an account”,
doing nothing when pressed.
so no new page is loaded

Does the blank page happen when all other plugins besides Event Espresso and the WP User Integration add-on are deactivated?

Hi Josh, does you remark concern my other topic?:
upcoming event widget to blank page

maueventespresso

February 2, 2017 at 10:37 am

Lorenzo, I tried debug on, but the malfunction would not repeat
it self at this moment. I will try again later.

I add some notes that broaden the picture:
– so far it only happens on the French part/event
– also the event categories dissappeared (that same event)
then I made a new one right on the spot, cause otherwise it would not show up

No my remark is with regards to your above report where you wrote:

“register for an account here”

Right, so does that happen (the dead link) when all other plugins besides Event Espresso and the WP User Integration add-on are deactivated?

maueventespresso

February 2, 2017 at 1:07 pm

when I think out loud:
I press a link (red link text and cursor changes)
so there is an tag, but no url in the tag,
thats my logic.

Now, more or less the same thing happens (which I
can reproduce:
01 go to specific French event
02 add event to cart
03 then go back to the event page (by previous page)
04 the event cart is loaded with one item
05 if you try the “view event cart” button
you will get the message “embarrassing, can’t find it”

now if you go and change the language to dutch (Nederlands)
you are able to view event cart

I was actually wondering about the answer to my question about deactivating the other plugins.

Yes, of course, I will get back to you!

I can’t reproduce the problem with the register link, however the problem with the event cart link (and possibly the register link) is down to WPML.

If you view the cart/checkout links when in French you’ll notice they link to:

http://kingsmen.nl/registration-checkout-fr-2__trashed/

So you have a trashed french checkout page that WPML is changing the links to which is why they do not work.

Event Espresso does not officially support WPML at this time, a better option at this time is to run EE within a subdomain/directory and list you French events there.

maueventespresso

February 6, 2017 at 8:38 am

We now have been able to reproduce.

– every thing via .be domain does not work
.be is used for French events
the french events via .nl are working (confusing)
we now try to pinpoint…

Did you check for the trashed page?

maueventespresso

February 6, 2017 at 10:42 am

in the redirect I unchecked:
“show .be instead of .nl in the adres bar.
now its working

maueventespresso

February 6, 2017 at 10:43 am

what is the trashed page?

The trashed page that Tony referred to in his earlier reply.
