Hi,

We recently purchased EE4 for a garage sale and future events.

The issue I’m seeing is that we now have 16 registrations for “Indoor Stall”s where I limited it to 10 available. On looking deeper, 4 were payment declined which is reasonable to not include as they then had a succesful registration afterward, but there is someone with 2 stalls booked which don’t have reg_code against them. Its unpaid, but I don’t know how this has occurred.

Is there any known issue with limited numbers on tickets, or is there something you can point to to help me with the issue? I had another registration this week, after already thinking it was at the limit (It appears as “Sold Out” when I browse to the page).

Appreciate some insight,

Don

Hi Geoff,

I turns out that the registrations don’t count toward the total limit unless they’ve been paid for.

Is this something we can log as a event preference? – it seems counter-intuitive to me as is, and probably requires checking registrations as they come in to find the limit.

Thanks,

Hi,

In EE4 registrations and transactions are separate entities. What this means is that you can set the event option “Default Registration Status” to Approved and it will log any registering attendee against the capacity limit. The transaction however will remain pending until paid.

This means that the event will auto close based on registrations, rather than who has or has not paid, and you can check that info via the Transactions page.

I have it set to “Approved” and did when I first set up the event, yet the system allowed 16 registrations (6 without payment immediately, using the “Invoice” payments, or leaving the screen after Registration was confirmed) on a ticket item I had set to limit to 10.

I set Default Registration Status to “Approved” in the right hand bar, Event Registration Options – is that all I should have to do?

Hi Geoff,

Do they all have an Approved status?
