Confused about how to manage limited seating events. How does this display on front end to let users know there are only x amount of tickets/seat left? Have reviewed documentation, but confused whether I should limit registrations or tickets or both.

The only place we display the amount remaining/sold ticket values is within the ‘Ticket Info’ section of the ticket selector, this section – http://take.ms/zzI16

It depends on the type of event you have an the limits you want to set.
You can use Datetime limits to set an overall limit for that instance of the event and Ticket limts for individual limits of each type of Ticket.
For example you may have an event with a Datetime limit of 10.
You may have 3 ‘VIP’ tickets (so a ticket with a limit of 3) and a normal ticket with no limit (you can set a limit of 7 but if they are assigned to the datetime above the datetime limits is used anyway). You can then only seel 3 vip tickets and 7 of the ‘normal’ tickets before the datetime limit is reached.
If you can provide some details of the event/pricing setup you want to use we can advise further for you specific use case.
If I set a datetime limit of 5, what happens once the 5th ticket is sold? Does the event say sold out?
Yes, if you have a single datetime then yes the event will be sold out.
Are attempts to buy the 6th ticket prevented?
Yes attempts to purchase a 6th ticket will be prevented.
If there’s no spaces the datetime that the ticket allows, the ticket will show as sold out.
