I received this message after creating a local test environment :

Your support license key is only valid for one domain at a time, and our licensing system has detected that you are using your license key on multiple domains. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys, or if you have concerns, please Contact Us.

This also created an issue with recaptcha keys.

How do I reset the live site? How should I setup the test site?

Thank you.

Hi there,

The account you are currently logged into does not have an active license (and therefor active key), you’ll need to log into the account the key is for and click the ‘Request reset’ button next to your license key.

However firstly on your test site you’ll need to go to Event Espresso -> General Settings, remove the license key and save the settings. You don’t need the licnese key on the local copy but you will need to manually update EE4 on the test site:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-upgrade-event-espresso/#ee4-manual-update

The EE license key will not cause conflicts with reCaptcha, is it no longer working on the live site or just the test site?

Thank you. I will log onto that account to reset the license.

I am using Event Espresso 3.1.37.11.P. Do I need to update to Event Espresso 4?

reCaptcha – I thought maybe the site & secret keys might need to be reset for the local site. On the live site I am seeing

Error for Site Owner: Invalid token

On the development site the reCaptcha displays fine, but I’m receiving this message:

THIS PAGE IS UNSECURED. DO NOT ENTER A REAL CREDIT CARD NUMBER! USE THIS FIELD ONLY FOR TESTING PURPOSES.

EE4 is a completely different system to EE3 so it depends if you want to update to EE4 right now and if it supports all of your needs currently (it has a different feature set to EE3 – https://eventespresso.com/differences-ee4-ee3/).

reCaptcha – I thought maybe the site & secret keys might need to be reset for the local site. On the live site I am seeing

When you create reCaptcha keys you enter the domain they will be used on, it sounds like your keys were generated for your LOCAL server, not Live.

The reCaptcha keys are not controlled by us (EE) and are not linked to your site license key in any way.

If you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings you’ll find options for reCaptcha with a link to your reCaptcha dashboard, there you can add/remove domains/keys.

Regarding this:

THIS PAGE IS UNSECURED. DO NOT ENTER A REAL CREDIT CARD NUMBER! USE THIS FIELD ONLY FOR TESTING PURPOSES.

That’s not from Event Espresso, it could be from Gravity forms but that should not be displayed on your EE checkout as EE does not use gravity forms. The reason your seeing that message is the local site is not using SSL.

Thank you again!

I will try resetting Event Espresso license and resetting the reCaptcha keys on the live site.
