I’m not even sure I need to renew my license and I am getting mixed messages from different EE pages. One said I couldn’t see the Roles/Permissions Add-on in WordPress because I hadn’t renewed my license. When I went to renew, it said I didn’t need to now. So there’s that.

Also, I see I have 5 site license keys that I believe I am paying for. In reality, all I need is two.

Your help in resolving these issues ASAP would be very much appreciated.

Hi Mark,

I have removed the 3 unused keys from your account, so you should be able to renew only the 2.

I’m not even sure I need to renew my license and I am getting mixed messages from different EE pages.

Your license doesn’t expire until Oct 7, 2014.

One said I couldn’t see the Roles/Permissions Add-on in WordPress because I hadn’t renewed my license. When I went to renew, it said I didn’t need to now. So there’s that.

Can you tell me where you are seeing these messages? You have access to Roles and Permissions through your account.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Under Add Ons > Roles & Permissions (BASIC) I see the following message in the top right corner:

“You have access to this already. Access is renewed with Support License renewal”

So, I guess I have access, but don’t know how to access it. Could you tell me where in WordPress I should find the R&P options?

Also, I’m seeing this message in WordPress:

“There is an automatic update for Event Espresso available but your Site License Key has not been set. For EE3+ users, please go to the Event Espresso General Settings page to set your Site License Key. For EE4+ users, please go to the Your Organization Settings page. You can locate your license key from your account on the Event Espresso website.”

Didn’t I just set my license key?

Hi Mark,

I have reset your license key. Please remove the key from the field in your Event Espresso General Settings, save the blank field, then copy the key from your eventespresso.com account, paste it into the field, and save again.

That should clear those messages.

You should see menu items under Event Espresso for Roles and Permissions.

Thanks a lot! The license key seems to be figured out.

As for Roles & Permissions – I do not see that menu option under EE.

Mark,

Is the Event Espresso – Permissions add-on activated?

If so, the options should show here: http://www.screencast.com/t/L7keIt8p

It does NOT show up in the menu, therefore it must be inactive. How do I activate?

Go to your Plugins area and look for Event Espresso – Permissions, then click Activate.

Event Espresso – Permissions is not there at all. Not even under the Inactive list.

This is all I see…

Event Espresso – Calendar
Event Espresso – Recurring Events
Event Espresso – Social Media
Event Espresso – Ticketing

Hi Mark,

If the plugin is not in your Plugins list then it is not installed. You can download a copy from your Account page.

Then in your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New, and click the Upload link near the top. This will allow you to upload and install the zip file of the Permissions plugin.

Once done, Activate it and you should see it in your menu.
