Hello, Have a client who is running multisite and had activated EE and their license key in a sub site. I’m trying to change this so it’s on the network. We have requested a reset and have received an email with instructions on how to change this. When EE is Network activated if I go to the primary site EE->”General Settings” I see the license value there at the top. The instructions I have say to remove the license save and then add the license code and save again. I cannot remove the license key. If I clear the field and save the license code is still there. It won’t go away. Is there something else I need to do in order clear the license key? I tried changing the activation of EE back to the sub site but the license field isn’t showing in EE->”General Settings” when I do that so I can’t remove it there either. Thanks, |

Hi, Does just re-saving the page with the licence key on turn the key icon to green? |
|
Dean, Thanks for you assistance. It’s always green. It is green when opening the page after changing the plugin activation to the network. However I can’t install updates for add ons automatically. On the network Plugin page it is still showing the message “A valid Support License Key is needed to enable automatic upgrades. Your current account does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.”. Any recomendations? In the meantime I will leave it network activated. |
Hi AJ, could you share the last 4 characters of the support license key that you are using? — |

Hey Lorenzo, Sure they are ‘298b’. In the meantime the license has registered to another domain in there multisite that is not the default install. This, as far as I can tell, happened automatically. Note: There are some plugins installed that change the order of the domains in the multisite and one that allows mapping of other domain names other than the base domain (if example.org is the base dom they have example3.org, expample5.org etc). There may be some other multisite specific plugins. I didn’t set up the multisite and I’ve not taken a close look at all the plugins they are using… Thanks for having a look! 🙂 |
Is the key ending with ‘298b’ attached to another account? If so, please let us know and this is what we’ll do: We’ll add a new key to the account and you will input the new key for that network. |

Yes it is for a customer account is ‘eangus’. |
Hey Eric, I have updated the eangus account with a new license key. Can you try that one on the network? |

Hi Jonathan, I tried removing the license key again and re-adding. I’m having the same experience as I originally reported. i.e. I try an clear the license and it won’t clear. I then replace it with the “new key” (which is the same value) and save. I’m still not able to run updates from the network. Thanks, |
Hi AJ, The new key for the eangus account ends with “835c”. If you’re still trying to use the key ending with “298b”, it’s not longer a valid key. |

I couldn’t swap the key value it keeps coming back with the old key the one ending in “298b”. However it appears to now be working… We were able to apply updates to the add-ons but the plugin screen. So I don’t know how but it looks to be working for now… |
