Hi – I run separate development, test and live environments for my sites and am running into an issue with the support key only being valid on one environment. Is it possible for you to allow multiple URLs for each license key for setups such as mine?

If not, can you please let me know which environment you would recommend I setup the license key for? I make all of my site updates on the development site (everything has to start there by design), then promote to test, and finally promote to live.

Hi Austin,

The license key system allows one URL per key. If you set up a deploy process you won’t need to update plugins on each site individually.

One way that some developers set this up is they put the key on the development environment, and they do all of the plugin/theme updates there. They set up a repository for wp-content directory (or one for wp-content/themes and for wp-content/plugins). Then after running updates on development they deploy to testing then to live.

Thanks Josh – sounds like you recommend putting the license key on dev (agreed there), I’ll move forward accordingly.
