Hi there,
I just upgraded to the developer package for EE4 and have entered the license key on the production site to enable auto-updates. I see in my EE account center that the key is connected to the site, but the site is still saying my key is invalid or expired (which it’s definitely not).

I tried waiting overnight to see if it was related to caching (a WP Engine hosted site) – but no change in the morning.

I also reset the key that was used and tried another – same result.

I also deactivated and reactivated EE4 – same result.

Help please & thanks in advance,
Heather

Hi Heather,

I can’t see any reason for this on your account but I have reset your license keys.

Please go to Event Espresso -> General Settings.

Remove the license key (cut), save the settings, replace the key (paste) and re-save the setting once more.

Be sure to double check for whitespace before/after the key before saving the settings the second time.

If you have further problems please let me know.

Hi there,
Unfortunately that did not work, although the key that was associated with one of the sites WAS working and now that one does not either. I copied and pasted with no spaces and first deleted the old key and saved before pasting in the reset code and saving.

I can supply login information in a private channel if you can look further in one of the sites.

For reference, both sites are on WP Engine. I did disable the Object/Transient Cache to see if that would let it work but I’m still getting a red key by the code and the statement that automatic updates are not available because my code is invalid.

This time I’m also noting that my EE account is not showing the key I’m pasting as linked to any site, so something is off in the connection from these sites to the EE licensing system.

Thanks much,
Heather

Hi Heather,

We can investigate further with access to the site. There’s a secure form on over on this page where you can send the details:

I just checked and it’s all set to update Event Espresso 4 core now. Hope that helps!

Hi Josh,

Thanks much – EE4 updated nicely but on the EWN site the WP Users extension is still telling me that the license code is invalid. My subscription to that just started on 12/28. Can you fix that one too please?

Thanks much!
Heather

Hi Heather,

I can send a note over to the sales team about this, it doesn’t appear that the WP Users add-on was included in the a la carte add-ons in your account.
