I upgraded my client’s license to EE4 last week, as we are hoping to make the switch over from EE3 very soon. At the moment I have EE4 running on a development site while we rebuild some templates and work out the best way to manage the changeover.

However, I realised today that leaves me unable to update EE3 on the live site while we finish the work. Can we get a period of grace to keep the EE3 license live while we finish the work on the dev site? It’s a really big change for the client so I am nervous not to rush it for the sake of not being able to update.

Thanks.

Hello, we no longer provide additional support licenses for development sites and a support license will link to a single site at a time.

You don’t need to rush development and the site running Event Espresso 3 will continue to run on its own.

That is, the software can run without a support license key.

Once you are ready to move the support license key, then you can request a release via your account page.

Thanks

Lorenzo

But I have warnings that I need to update an add-on plugin (attendee mover). Will it still function ok?

Hi,

It will function fine, even with the update notices.
