I was using a temporary GoDaddy domain to build my site. When I converted it to my permanent domain, the site crashed and I had to call GoDaddy and we realized the site copied another site I run. This meant we could only restore the site and I had to rebuild it. In Event Espresso, my event registration shut down after the domain transfer. No registration comes up. After some time, I noticed the activation key had a red icon and has gone bad. I requested the reset on Friday night when this hot mess happened. It is now Monday morning and I am still waiting for a reset. The reset is critical to our event. When should I expect it restored or do I need to buy a token to get this reset done quick? |

Hi there, I’m sorry for the delay, I’ve just reset your license key. You do not need to purchase a token to reset the key. You can always download the latest version of Event Espresso from your account page and install it from there if there is an issue with your license key. We have a guide to do manual updates here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-upgrade-event-espresso/#update-event-espresso-4 However the license key has no effect on Event Espresso other than to enable automatic updates, it will not alter the functionality of EE in any other way so if there is an issue with the site a key reset is unlikely to help. Are you just looking to update to the latest version or do you have another issue? |

I entered the reset key. It has turned green but now I get a message that says: Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys, or if you have concerns, please Contact Us. Also I do I have another issue then. Since the reset is not supposed to be the issue….When I test the registration forms, I get a huge error message that says I have clicked YES under DISPLAY TICKET SELECTOR. |

I figured it out! It’s up and going. All is well and I’m very pleased with Event Espresso. I think once we get through this season it will be the best answer we’ve ever had for registrations. Thanks tons! |

Good to know. Did you happen to refresh the permalinks options page to fix the not found error? |
|
I didn’t need to. When I was deleting the old registration system, I inadvertently deleted the shortcode page. The site told me the shortcodes didn’t work and that I had trashed it. I restored it and it’s all good. I have some people who say they don’t get taken to Paypal after they register. If you have any thoughts or work arounds on why, that would be helpful to hear! |

I’m glad you got it working and that EE is working well for you 🙂
Have they mentioned any error messages that may have popped up? When the select PayPal they need to click the ‘Proceed to Finalize Registration’ button at the bottom – the http://take.ms/6xjoJ That it what triggers the redirect to PayPal. So are they simply not clicking that button? |
