When I do a ‘Filtered CSV Report’ of my registrations I have 26366 in total dating to registrations back to Aug-2016. Is there any advantages / disadvantages in eliminating much of this old data? If I were to remove some of these old registrations, how would I remove it.

The ‘Filtered CSV button’ applies any filters you currently have set on the table and exports the registrations, if your getting all of your registrations are you not setting any filters first? If not then its the same as the ‘All Registrations CSV’ button.

Advantages, not really, a reduced database size maybe. 26,000 entries may seem like a lot but your database is designed to handle millions of rows.
The disadvantage I can think of is the data would no longer be available, but that depends on what data you need.

At this time EE doesn’t do cascading deletes to remove all of the data, so to remove a registration you first edit the transaction for that registration (Event Espresso -> Registrations -> {registration} -> View Transactions).
Then go back to the registration list, select the registration and trash it.
Finally look in the ‘Trash’ view and remove the registrations completely.
You’d need to do that for each individual registration you want to remove.
