…and in my wp-config.php i don´t find a snipped like “define (‘WPLANG’,);” that can i change in “define (‘WPLANG’, ‘fr_FR’);” so i test it to copy that snipped in the .php but thats not a goal |
Hi, We have a guide here on how to enable a new language in Event Espresso 4: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-languages/ Since, you are wanting to use the German language, you’ll need to use this macro in your wp-config.php file: define(‘WPLANG’, ‘de_DE’); The middle of the file is a good spot to add it and be sure to save changes. Next, be sure that you get the latest languages files from here: http://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/de/event-espresso-de_DE The files will be downloaded to your computer and you’ll need to edit the file names so that they look like this (note the underscore and number 4): event_espresso-4-de_DE.po The last step is to upload these files here: wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages You should then see some translations throughout your site. — |

Hi Lorenzo, thanks for helping! – wp-config.php is edit (I test a few spots to add it) What can be the Problem? |
Hi Trexirus, There is a small error in instructions from Lorenzo above. The files names should not be: event_espresso-4-de_DE.po They need to be: event_espresso-de_DE.po If you rename those file the translations should then work. |

Hello again, We have a new resource that explains how to translate Event Espresso. You can view it here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-translate-event-espresso/ Also, GlotPress now has translation strings that are up to date for the current version of Event Espresso. Thanks! — |
