I did the changes that you suggested, but the result is the same. The plugin interface is still in English.
Is the language file correctly translated?
I also tried to open the file event_espresso-es_ES.po with my PoEdit software but I could not open it. I got a message from PoEdit that said: “The file may be either corrupted or in a format not recognized by Poedit.”
You are likely working with files that did not get downloaded correctly. Here’s a tip on how to download the language files for ee4: Click the Download ZIP button on the lower right side of the page. It will download an archive of all the files. After you extract the zip on your computer, you only need to upload one file:
event_espresso-es_ES.mo
The .po file does not need to be uploaded to your server, but it can be opened up in POedit if you’d like to continue to translate more strings. Once you’re done editing, you hit save and upload your new .mo file that POedit generates.
