I’ve just been testing out the option for my customers to pay by check. But the information I enter into the question fields and the information that I see later, both from the customer’s viewpoint (like on the “Click here to edit All Attendee Information” page), doesn’t match up. The questions in the registration process are these:
But the answers I see reported afterward leaves the first name slot empty, while it places the first name in the last name slot, and the last name in the email slot. Your thoughts as to what may be causing this? |
Hi John, If you view that registration within Event Espresso -> Registrations. Are all of the answers set for the correct questions there? |

First of all, Tony, thanks for signing up for tomorrow’s class. You’d better start your commute now if you want to be here in time. ???? When I went to Event Espresso -> Registrations, I saw your name and clicked on it. The “custom questions and answers” came through just fine. However, none of the standard questions appear on that page, and I’m at a loss on how to find them in the EE4 registration system. When I went to Event Espresso -> Transactions, I could then see your email address. But nowhere can I find your first name and last name as separate questions and answers. Maybe you can direct me to a page where all of the information I want to see about a registrant is stored. |

By the way, the “????” you see was supposed to be an emoticon “wink.” |

Hi, Yeah emoticons sometimes go weird on this forum. If you go to Registrations and click an attendee, all the details should be there, screenshot http://take.ms/DpzQF |

Thanks for the screenshot, Dean. That really helps in seeing what you mean. Too bad it’s set up so you have to look for some information in one spot and other information in another spot. But at least I know where to look now. Back to my original question, any idea why the info looks fine on the page where you’ve directed me, but not in the spot where I was looking before? Why don’t you book a flight and sign up for tomorrow’s class, too? For all of the help you’ve given me, you and Tony can attend for free. |
I was looking forward to the swim 🙂 The reason the information is split is becuase EE creates a ‘contact’ for each of your registrants. This may not seem useful now, but if a user signs up to multiple classes will be able to check based on the contact which events they have registered onto/attended. As we add more features and deeper reporting this will become much more useful.
I’m not able to reproduce this and have copied your questions/question types locally, registered and then edited the info without issue. I’ll continue to investigate. |

My mind is fried on EE4 changes, I hardly remember what the problem was. Thanks for staying on top of it for me. Swimming is a good idea. Much cheaper … but also much slower. I’ll change your registration to the following week’s class. |

Thanks for the offer John, but a bit far for me to travel. The initial problem was jumbled up answers to questions. We haven’t had any other reports of this, nor can we duplicate it on testing servers. When viewing the attendee via Event Espresso -> Registrations does the information appear jumbled there too? |
