I have installed the api / plugin for the iPad app but am having issues logging in. I add the endpoint/username and password and receive “Sorry, can’t log in” 500-internal server error.

I also tried to test the URL : https://eventespresso.com/testdrive/espresso-api/v1/events/public.pretty_json ( changing /eventespresso.com/testdrive ) to my web address and I receive an error “The website encountered an error while retrieving http://mydomainname.com/testsite/espresso-api/v1/events/public.pretty_json. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.”

(mydomainname.com is not my actual domain name I have just replaced it for this forum post).

I can’t find any information online regarding what to do when you receive this error message.

An internal server error is generally caused by a PHP memory error. How many events do you have? Are you on a shared server?

You can try downloading the Espresso Requirements Check plugin and seeing what it says in terms of how much PHP memory you have available and how much you are using: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-requirements-check/

There could also be a problem with one of your events.
