I just bought and installed Espresso Basic and I have a serius problem with jquery conflicts. In fact as I was using Lite version there was no problem. The main problem is that off line payment drop down function seems (dead) and that lightbox seems not working. |
Hi George, There’s a few issues here. The Event Espresso Version you are currently using (3.0.12) is roughly 3yrs old now. Both WordPress and Event Espresso have changed a lot since then. Older versions of EE may not run correctly on the latest WordPress version so my first step you be to upgrade to the latest version (currently 3.1.52.2) Make sure you have a backup of the site beforehand just in case (better safe than sorry) there is a guide available here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-back-up-your-site/ Backup both the files and the database, then update Event Espresso following this guide: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-back-up-your-site/ Your site is also loading a very old version of jQuery, as well as a more current version. This is usually a fault of the theme, you could start by checking if any updates are available for the theme, if not try checking the theme’s functions.php file for any reference to jQuery. It may also be a plugin issue but I would at least get Event Espresso up to date first to give us a level playing field. |

The reason I have Event Espresso 3.0.12 version is that I have not a problem. I forced to use old version from another site to make my site work. |
I’m glad you are happy with Event Espresso 🙂 If you can activate it now I will take a look. Ultimately if there issues with the latest version it is likely caused by outdated plugins/jQuery etc but I will take a look and see if I can see more. |

You can check now. All pluggins are inactive |
Other than jQuery being loaded twice (which is likely your issue) I can’t see any obvious errors. The problem is the current theme you are using looks like it was last updated 21 October 2011. It will have been coded to suite jQuery then but unfortunately hasn’t followed best practices. As Event Espresso is the only active plugin, I’m fairly certain the other jQuery version is being loaded within the theme. I’d recommend making a full site backup, and looking through the themes source to find where it is loading jQuery 1.6, then remove it. |
