Hi everyone,

Dreamhost (my ISP) notified me that a specific file as been identified as attacker-added malware and has been disabled.

../wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/libraries/rest_api/assets/js/eejs-api.min.js

Do you suggest that I deactiveate and delete Event Expresso entirely, and reinstall with the latest verson?

I’m about to setup a new WordPress page for our nonprofit’s meetup and want to know to resolve this problem before doing anything else.

Thank you!
Wendy

Hi Wendy,

Their scan may have had a false positive, but it will not hurt anything if you deactivate and delete the copy of Event Espresso on your server and reinstall with a fresh copy downloaded from your account page. When you delete the plugin files and replace with new files your data will remain, because the data is stored in the site’s database.
