When someone clicks on “Add to cart” in order to add some tickets to the cart but then closes the page for whatever reason without completing the registration process – the tickets are gone and can’t be bought by other people. Further this failed/abandoned registration won’t show up anywhere in EE4.
What can I do? Is there some way to delete all current items in every users cart? Or a way to set the max-time, tickets can be hold in a cart?
Thx for your fast response as this is a timesensitive issue!
Philip
This is a known issue that’s added by the Multi Event Registration add-on and there’s a branch of Event Espresso 4 core that includes a fix so that any tickets added by the cart, then abandoned, will automatically get released back into the inventory. You’re welcome to download that branch and install it on your site:
Thanks for your quick answer. Will this also apply on cancelled tickets? For example: A purchases a ticket, so he completes the registration-process. Then he waits a couple minutes, hours, days and cancels the already bought tickets. If that’d be the case, the patch would create another issue, as we depend on having events locked-down, once their sold out.
Cancelled registrations are a completely different thing, they started as a completed registration that later got cancelled, so the patch won’t affect those.
Update:
Event Espresso 4.9.35.p + an update to the Multi Event Registration add-on were released today and they include fixes for the issue reported here.
