Hi there, In chrome we get this message on our site http://125jaarhertenkamp.nl In Safari it works fine. We have now disabled Varnish cache but that does not solve our problem. I have search the forum but I can’t find the solutions. Hope to here from you soon. Jan-Peter

Hi Jan-Peter, It’s actually not working with Safari either if you’re logged out of the website. You’ll need to check with your host and make sure that all caching is deactivated for the http://125jaarhertenkamp.nl/?page_id=10 page. As an aside, you may be able to use the “pretty” permalink feature that’s included in WordPress. You set “Postname” permalinks in WP > Settings > Permalinks. |

Hi Jan-Peter, Usually, this is caused by caching. Are you logged into Safari when testing? I get the same error on IE, FireFox and Chrome, obviously I’m not logged into the site on any of those. Did you completely disable Varnish cache? If so how? |

Okay, a little more about the test up. We have a server running cPanel/WHM hosting this site. We have setup Cachewall for Varnish. Within Cachewall I’ve made an exception for this website (a PIPE exclusion and a PASS exclusion) so the Varnish cache ignores everything going to the website. Now when I go to the website, I can’t see any header related to Varnish, so it must be deactivated, right? When I go to the page with the options it loads, I select my options, I click on “Aanmelden” and it blows up saying I need to have cookies enabled. I see the cookie being set (ee_cookie_test), but I notice it’s set yo a timeout right away? Could that be what is causing this issue? |

Very strange, when I completely disable the Varnish cache, it seems to be working… Even when Varnish is set to pass everything without touching, it seems just being active has a bad influence on this software…. |

Thanks for the help guys.. issue closed.. |
Can I ask what you have done to resolve the problem? It sounds like Vanish caching wasn’t being bypassed completely. Note – you can not cache any e-commerce type plugins/request as each page visit is unique for the specific user viewing the page. |

The “bad influence” you mention is likely the session isn’t maintaining state. |
