I’ve made some customizations to the Registration Approved message that show up fine when I preview them, but in an actual email that gets sent out to a registrant a couple things aren’t displaying properly. 1. In the opening text, I added in this line on the message: To view full event details, or to learn about other upcoming Rotman events, please visit our event page. It looks fine in preview mode, but emails are displaying the sentence without the link. It shows up as “please visit our “. 2. In the table at the bottom of the message, I’d like a link to our Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts to appear. I added the following to the message template under “Connect with Us”:
Again, in preview all three buttons show up fine. But in the actual email, only the Facebook button is displayed. Could you please advise what is causing this to happen? Thanks! |
Hi Deborah, Were these changes added via the text view which shows the HTML code? If so, a typo could be breaking the messages. Could you provide a screenshot of the two areas that the information was added while you are using the text view? — |

Thanks for your reply, Lorenzo. Here is HTML code of the opening text with the link in question:
And this is for the social media buttons:

Hi Deborah, the link (i.e. the href) appears to be correct. Sometimes our support forums can show sample HTML differently than how it was copied and pasted. Could you provide a screenshot of the two areas? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots — |

Ok, sorry. Here are the screen shots: |
Thanks. I spotted an issue on the Youtube link: http://cl.ly/image/2K1G1x3D161e It appears to be a link within a link. Could you remove the < a that appears after gb" and before href? Here is a the above sentence as a screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/093a3r2A1J2J -- |

Thanks, Lorenzo. I took out that mistake. But I just registered and still have the same issues. Anything else be causing this? |
Hi Deborah, could you forward the email to this email address: We’ll be able to take a look to see if something else is happening such as characters being swapped out. — |

On the way now. Thank you! |

I made an edit to the opening text of the message (no changes to the link), and the link is now working. But still no changes on the social media buttons. |
Hi, any additional changes are fine. I’ve replied to your email so we can troubleshoot this further. — |
