I’ve made some customizations to the Registration Approved message that show up fine when I preview them, but in an actual email that gets sent out to a registrant a couple things aren’t displaying properly.

1. In the opening text, I added in this line on the message: To view full event details, or to learn about other upcoming Rotman events, please visit our event page.

It looks fine in preview mode, but emails are displaying the sentence without the link. It shows up as “please visit our “.

2. In the table at the bottom of the message, I’d like a link to our Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts to appear. I added the following to the message template under “Connect with Us”:

<a href="[CO_FACEBOOK_URL]">Facebook</a>
<a href="[CO_TWITTER_URL]">Twitter</a>

YouTube

Again, in preview all three buttons show up fine. But in the actual email, only the Facebook button is displayed.

Could you please advise what is causing this to happen? Thanks!

Hi Deborah,

Were these changes added via the text view which shows the HTML code?

If so, a typo could be breaking the messages.

Could you provide a screenshot of the two areas that the information was added while you are using the text view?

Thanks for your reply, Lorenzo. Here is HTML code of the opening text with the link in question:

<table class="body-wrap">
	<tbody>
		<tr>
			<td></td>
			<td class="container" bgcolor="#FFFFFF">
				<div class="content">
					<table>
						<tbody>
							<tr>
								<td>
									<h2>Hello, [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_FNAME]:</h2>
									<p class="lead">Thank you for registering to attend a Rotman Institute of Philosophy Event. This email contains all of your registration information. To view full event details, or to learn about other upcoming Rotman events, please visit our <a href="http://www.rotman.uwo.ca/events/" target="_blank">event page</a>. </p>
								</td>
							</tr>
						</tbody>
					</table>
                                      </div>

And this is for the social media buttons:

<table class="footer-wrap">
	<tbody>
		<tr>
			<td></td>
			<td class="container">
				<table class="social" width="100%">
					<tbody>
						<tr>
							<td>
								<table class="column" align="left">
									<tbody>
										<tr>
											<td>
												<h5>Connect with Us:</h5>
												<a class="soc-btn fb" href="[CO_FACEBOOK_URL]">Facebook</a>
												<a class="soc-btn tw" href="[CO_TWITTER_URL]">Twitter</a>
 <a class="soc-btn gp"<a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/rotmanphilosophy" target="_blank">YouTube</a>
											</td>
										</tr>
									</tbody>
								</table>

Hi Deborah, the link (i.e. the href) appears to be correct. Sometimes our support forums can show sample HTML differently than how it was copied and pasted.

Could you provide a screenshot of the two areas?

Thanks. I spotted an issue on the Youtube link:

http://cl.ly/image/2K1G1x3D161e

It appears to be a link within a link.

Could you remove the < a that appears after gb" and before href? Here is a the above sentence as a screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/093a3r2A1J2J

Hi Deborah, could you forward the email to this email address:

support@eventespresso.com

We’ll be able to take a look to see if something else is happening such as characters being swapped out.

I made an edit to the opening text of the message (no changes to the link), and the link is now working. But still no changes on the social media buttons.
