Is there a way to move someone from one course to another without having to import and export? Is there a added feature that I can get to make Event Espresso do this?

I also would like to be able to make global coupon changes and make a coupon active across all of our courses instead of having to go into to each specific course and turn on or off a coupon. Especially because I have 50+ Open courses in my Event Espresso Cue.

Is there a way when you send out a email with Event Espresso to change the “from” line from “wordpress” to my email address? My customers spam filter sends any “wordpress” email straight to the spam box and they don’t receive the auto emails.

Is there a way to also have the closed/past/old events go into a different folder so they don’t appear at the top of the database when I click “All Events” the filter does not seem to work appropriately?

Last question, when you are looking at all attendee data there is no option to filter by course date, just time?

Any help would be appreciated.

Here are some of the answers I recevied via email for the first 3 questions:

Is there a way to move someone from one course to another without having to import and export?

No, this is not currently possible. We’re hoping to build this functionality into 3.2 but there are a lot of moving parts — for instance, if Event 1 has questions A, B and C that they ask of all attendees, and you move an attendee from that event to Event 2, which uses questions C, D and E, how do you handle those missing responses? If Event 1 is priced differently than Event 2, how do you deal with the discrepancy if they’ve already paid? These are things that make this functionality a more complex task to program.

I also would like to be able to make global coupon changes and make a coupon active across all of our courses instead of having to go into to each specific course and turn on or off a coupon.

This is another thing that may be handled in Event Espresso 3.2 which has completely rewritten the payment and discounts system. The only thing you can do now that is similar is use the Volume Discounts add-on described and linked in the newsletter.

We reccommend the WP Mail From plugin, or another, similar plugin that does the same thing. This is a WordPress setting, not something that is controlled by Event Espresso.

Is there a way to also have the closed/past/old events go into a different folder so they don’t appear at the top of the database when I click “All Events” the filter does not seem to work appropriately?

If you’re displaying “All Events” you’re going to get all events. It’s not going to filter out old/closed events if you tell it to display all events. However you can filter to display just the active events:

when you are looking at all attendee data there is no option to filter by course date, just time?

That’s not entirely true. It’s true that there is no event date column on the all attendee list. However, you can sort the attendees by the month of the event and by registration date.

month
