We are running a world-renowned education program online. We are using event espresso for the first time for our registration. When logged into our WordPress account the registration checkout works. HOWEVER, when we are not logged into wordpress and test the site registration checkout it errors and says “Nothing in your event queue, You need to select at least one event before you can proceed with the registration process.”
It sounds like there could be a conflict with another plugin or maybe server-level caching is enabled. However, I just tested registration on your site and seems to work as expected. Here’s a screenshot: https://monosnap.com/file/otLGYxTFWHGMkaGzgCwaau22npNsBW
You can use the Health Check plugin to deactivate all other plugins for the admin only, then test (while logged in as admin) with only Event Espresso activated.
If you find that the error happens with all plugins deactivated, then there may be some server-level caching happening. You can check with the web host to see if they have anything like that setup, and if they do, they’ll need to exclude the Event Espresso pages from their cache.
Further to the above, when registrations work whilst logged in but not whilst logged out, 95% of the time its due to caching. (Logged in users are not served cached pages, logged out users are).
I noticed your site is running on WPEngine and have some details on the steps you need to take with them here:
If you haven’t run through those steps I’d recommend starting there.
