Hi!
I am frustrated to see this. I migrated from EE3 to EE4 in some websites but now in one of my sites whenever I try to migrate from EE3 to EE4 the date of the event got duplicated but not as the same date both event dates are different. Unable to handle this issue.
firstaidkelowna.ca is my main site where the issue is raised.
Note: I tried it by duplicating the current site in my test site and there the data got successfully migrated without any extra event date issue.
Please guide me on this.
Thanks.

Hi Mark,

Note: I tried it by duplicating the current site in my test site and there the data got successfully migrated without any extra event date issue.

So to confirm, on the live site, the migration caused a duplicate DateTime to be created for each event?

But then the exact same migration with all of the same plugins/theme etc enabled on a test site worked as expected?

Yes Exactly.

No after this I clone the website again on the test site and migrate it to EE4 it also generate duplicate events on the test site.

Duplicate events, datetimes, or both?

Is the clone site still live for me to view the data on?

Hi Mark,

Currently, it looks like the Demo site has EE3 active so I can’t view any of the EE4 data.

Can you switch back to EE4 on the demo site?

Hi there,

Can you send over login details for the demo site, please?

I checked over the EE4 details and whilst I do see the ‘duplicate’ datetimes on some events I can’t see any logic to it, so will need to see both the EE3 and EE4 events on the site (meaning I’ll need to switch the active version on the site to compare)

If that’s ok you can send login details using this form:

The issue got fixed. Actually, I saw the database there was data tables duplication problem that is why we are getting the error in date-time I guess. When I reactivate EE4 and delete the old data and do the migration again everything goes fine and this time no error in date-time appears.
Thanks for your cooperation.

Could you please help us in editing recurring events or adding batch events for the future, instead of adding one by one?

we found an old thread in which you say import of events is also not possible because if it would we could have to delete future events and create a new one using CSV file by editing them in excel file so it could help to some extent.

Yeah, that makes sense if you have duplicate EE3 tables within the database the migration script won’t know those are duplicates as it’s unexpected.

EE4 doesn’t have a recurring events manager just yet, it is the feature we are currently working on, see here:

I’m sorry but I don’t understand what you mean here, can you rephrase?
