Hi there,
We’re looking to see if there is an option to have the countdown timer for tickets to expire on the event registration page (the page after you select the number of tickets).
I found this in the forums:

But then I also found this post that said it’s not safe to use:

Is this something that is safe to use/works? Our tickets are free for people (we charge for membership through s2member) and we were looking for it to be kind of like what Ticketmaster shows.

Hi Jason,
It’s not that the timer is ‘unsafe’ as such, just its not a feature we currently support as the timer was added for debugging rather than as a full feature. As far as I am aware it works as it should in that it counts down from when the session was started but if you are going to use it I recommend testing it does indeed work how you are expecting.
The 8-minute issue mentioned in the other thread is from the user setting the session lifespan to 8 mins, that’s not really a recommended timeframe to use (I’d recommend no less than 15 mins).
