I’m getting “critical error on this website” when I try to use the Attendee Mover. I see on this post from Feb 2022 that EE was not fully compatible with PHP 8 at that time: https://eventespresso.com/topic/fatal-error-with-event-espresso-plugin/. With the recent major upgrade I would expect that EE would now be compatible with the latest PHP, but I’m getting this error, even using Health Check and disabling everything but EE. I’m also getting it when trying to view the system information. My server is at PHP 8.1. Do I need to downgrade my PHP to 7.x? If so, when can we expect compatibility with PHP 8?

Thanks,

When I logged in this morning I noticed an update to the attendee mover plugin, so I gave that a try, and it works now. Thank you. Since the System Information tab also gave me a critical error yesterday, I tried that too. It is still giving me an error. Everything seems to be working fine, so I don’t need any more help, but I thought you would want to know. I will include a video in a PM.

I am on WordPress Version: 6.2.2

PHP Version: 8.1.20

MySQL Version: 5.7.42

Event Espresso Version: 5.0.7.p

Thank you. Glad everything works fine. If you still experience problem in your site, you can do some quick test on maybe a plugin conflict or theme. you can use plugin such as Health Check & Troubleshooting or any similar.

Tools -> Site Health -> Troubleshooting -> Enabled Troubleshooting mode.

The plugin will allow you to do Troubleshooting and have a clean WordPress session, where all plugins are disabled, and a default theme is used, but only for your user until you disable it or log out.

thanks.
