IPN and PayPal sandbox

Hello,
I’m experiencing some problems with PayPal Standard gateway in Sandbox mode.
I read lots of EE forum threads before write here; I can purchase a ticket from a sandbox fake payer to a sandbox fake seller (business), setting and using the IPN as described.

The transaction seems to work fine but when I return on the site Thank you page, the purchase is set as Incomplete, status in Pending Review and the box which should upload payment information continue to run. All I get is a mail from WordPress system with all the logs that result, at first sight, to be ok [payment_status] => Completed and payment_status:Completed. I will attach it below.

What can I do?
I’m using EE 4.4.3p

Hi Alberto,

Any security/firewall plugins or plugins like Bad Behavior?

They can block the IPN and cause incomplete event payments as you described.

Thanks Alberto. Could you run another test with only Event Espresso and your theme activated?

We regularly use the PayPal Sandbox for testing new versions before releasing them.

Hi Alberto,

Lorenzo is advising you to rule out any potential plugin conflicts. You can rule out any potential plugin conflicts by temporarily deactivating all active plugins (except of course, Event Espresso).

it has started working properly and everything seems ok on all browser but IE.

Are there any error messages appearing when processing the registration with Internet Explorer?

Hi Lorenzo,
I’ve run other test. While in Chrome everything is proceding smoothly trough the purchasing, in IE I can arrive to the Thank You page where I can read that my registration has been approved, but no information about the payment is provided.
There is just the text-box saying that “Some payment method can take up to 15 minutes to process…”. But the timer doesn’t run and the box remains there.

Do you need other information?
