At our event yesterday, when we scanned tickets, either with an iphone or ipad2, the guest was shown as attended, but the app never showed successful scan. The image of the qr code stayed on the screen and never showed green or red confirmation message. We had to go back to the events list and select current event to scan the next ticket.

Also, the app would not display a list of attendees. It always returned “no attendees”

Hi Byron,

What version of Event Espresso and WordPress are you on? I’m testing this on Event Espresso ver 3.1.29.1 and WP 3.5 with no issues.

Have you followed the instructions here? Make sure you didn’t miss anything, especially starting with number 2 (XML-RPC is on by default in WP 3.5). You may also need to update the espresso-services.

We are running WP 3.5 and Event Espresso Version 3.1.29.1.P with Ticketing Version 2.0.9.

I verified the file locations and permissions. I am not clear on what you mean by “You may need to update the espresso-services.”

Could it have to do with user permissions? Both that tried the using the app are administrators.

I have been able to pull up an attendee list from a previous event with the app. Perhaps it is something unique to this one event.

When I have a few extra moments, I will test with a new test event.

Hi Byron,

You can download the latest version of the espresso-services mobile ticketing api files from the ticketing add-on documentation page:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-ticketing/

Once you verify you have the latest version, another thing to check is whether there are any plugins that are doing any database caching. If database caching is turned on (usually by a caching plugin) you will need to disable database caching in order for the ticketing add-on to work as expected.

Josh,

Thanks. Downloading the latest espresso-services files seems to have fixed the problem. I can pull up ticket pdfs and the scan completes. I can also see the list of attendees.

One quick question, however. We marked attendees as checked in manually during the event via the attendee list. They show as attended in the attendees list via the admin page, but not when showing the list on the app. I can scan the qr code and it then adds the check mark in the list on the app. Is this the way it is supposed to work? If we check in someone via the attendees list, their ticket should not still have a successful scan, should it?
