Hi, I’ve seen a few posts about IP tracking in EE from several years ago, just wanted to confirm if EE implemented the ability to track IP somewhere.

Not that I’m aware of.
May I ask in why EE would track an IP?
Can you link me to one of the posts you are referring to?

Hi, sometimes we can use the IP to attribute conversions to certain sources. In this instance, we were trying to connect some affiliate visits to actual registrations.

Ahh, ok, I thought you meant something more like abandoned cart tracking etc based on IP.
So the short answer is no, we don’t have IP tracking. The above thread is from EE3 so that won’t work with EE4.
We did, at one point, store the IP as part of the user’s additional session details in EE4 however GDPR put a stop to that as it’s not essential to the registrations and so caused more problems than it solved.
