Hi,
it’s been a few weeks we realize the iOS is not working. We can’t login. We put the website link, the user and password we always used, but now it says ID/PW are incorrect
How can we fix this?

Hi,

We have a troubleshooting guide:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-event-apps/#troubleshooting

Before stepping through the guide, I would try logging in with a different admin account (even if it’s a new, temporary account). If you find you can log in with the new account that may be an indication there’s a character in the other user account’s username/password combination that’s being rejected in the request.

Hello,
we did try and create a clean new admin account but the error persists. We went through the troubleshooting article and none of the situations described seem to relate to our issue.
Error message: https://prnt.sc/q0vyj4
We put a simple password of 6 lowercase letters as the password, a username that as easy as it comes, and it won’t let us login from the app.

Remove the scheme from the URL, the http:// or https:// part.

If your site is at https://www.example.com/ then you input just www.example.com

If it’s a ‘naked’ domain, leave the www. out.

Does it work then?

Hello,
I tried without https, with www and without, with https://www. and without, no combination seems to work.
My configuration is as follows:
WP: 5.3
EE: 4.10.2.p
Important Plugins:
1- Force SSL
2- WP Protect Admin
I also use cloudflare and AWS S3 bucket (not sure if one of these configs could come into conflict with EE)

Have you test the Android app at all?

If you can send me temp login details I’ll capture the request and see if anything stand out, however, I don’t Apple and don’t have any devices I can test iOS on so I can’t do the sam with iOS.

I sent the credentials and all information related to the issue at the link shared in your last message. Thank you!

Hi,
Can you check your server’s PHP error logs?

Every request that gets sent to the REST API endpoints used by the app are returning an internal server error (code 500)

I’ll send a second reply with an example.

Thanks a lot for the information, our developer is going to look into it. He wasn’t aware of the issue until now. I will let you know how we got it fixed, he says it might come from the Autoptimize plugin we use in which we did some javascript minifying and other optimizations.

This is the latest error_log entries, my dev team doesn’t seem to pinpoint the issue.

Problem was from a plugin: Advanced Access Manager! We removed it and everything is working fine.
