Invoice 'Pay Online' link and Payment Problems with Event Espresso 3

Hi,

We have Event Espresso 3 and our site is https://www.jackscomplianceresource.com/. We have had several users over the past week or so that have experienced issues with payments on our site. Some people say that registration won’t take them all the way through to payment, or when they try to pay online from within an invoice they get a “oops this page cannot be found error”.

I was able to duplicate the invoice issue part. When I click on the ‘Pay Online’ link that’s provided with the invoice pdf file from the checkout page it takes me to a page that says, ‘oops…this page does not exist’, but only when I’m a guest or logged out of the site. When I’m logged in, the ‘Pay Online’ link works. I thought by default it should work for both logged in and logged out users. I’ve checked every settings that I could find on EE3 plugin but nothing that I saw that would cause this problem. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me figure out this problem. Please let me know if you need further information.

Hi there,

If you view the link page name from the link the Invoice uses, it takes you to:

https://www.jackscomplianceresource.com/?page_id=7018
(I’ve removed the registration ID from that link so it won’t actually work, but you can still see the problem using the above)

Which, when WordPress changes to a ‘pretty’ link, goes to:

https://www.jackscomplianceresource.com/payment-details__trashed/

That means someone has trashed the ‘payment-details’ page you are using for your EE Thank you page.

Go to Dashboard -> Pages

At the top of the list will be ‘Trash’ link – https://monosnap.com/file/NDlVclipg5eGOuUgOoeOjFG53ab0Rm

Click that, can you see your payment details page there? If so, hover over it and click ‘Restore’.

The links should then work.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for the quick response. I checked the ‘Trash’ list and you are right, Payment Details page was trashed. I restored it and the link seems to be working fine now. Thank you for you help!
