Where can I change/edit this ‘For’ in the [EVENT_EXCERPT]?
Didn’t find it in .po file or where I can change messages.

Hi there,

Can you post a screenshot that shows where you would like to change please?

I think the string you need to search for is ‘(For %1$s)’, %1$s is replaced with the event name dynamically.

But I’ll know more if you can provide a screenshot.

Hi Tony,
thanks for the quick reply. I changed .po file but still there is ‘For’ in the invoice and registration html.

By the way. When registering for an event the name and email are filled when I’m logged in. Why do I have to fill adress details time and again even though they are already stored in the contact details?

See screenshots for ‘For’ and poedit and location of .mo file

Hi Joachim,

Could you check to see if there is a language file here?

/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/languages

If so, could you go ahead and remove those from the core plugin folder?

For WP User Integration, only the personal information group is pre-populated at this time.

Only .mo file was there. Deleted it. Cleared cache. Still ‘For’ in both html

Hi, is this a multisite installation of WordPress?

Can you send me a copy of your .PO file to support[at]eventespresso.com please?

I’ve modified the PO files available from http://translate.eventespresso.com/ and it works fine for me ( http://take.ms/haIlo ) so I just want to compare and see if I can find whats happening.

I looks like you are using an older version of the PO file which does not translate the string. I downloaded the latest version of the Geman translations from here:

http://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/de/event-espresso-de_DE

Translating ‘(For %1$s)’ within that file works as expected, using your PO does not.

You could merge the changes from the latest PO file into your version and then redo the translation for that string, that works for me locally.

Thank you Tony for all your effort. I’ll do that with poedit. I really appreciate the very good support you all are giving. Approaching the date for launching the site relying on this is so helpful and relieving.
