I noticed that there are more options for customizing my invoice. I would like to have the invoice display some of their responses from the Registration Form. We get a lot of people calling to ask what they signed up for and if they had it on the invoice it would be easier. I also would like to have a link on the invoice that connects to them paying online. Most of our customers are schools that register months in advance, but can’t pay by credit card until closer to the event. Right now we are sending out transaction reminders, but if the link was provided on the invoice it would be more convenient. I know that they could just save a copy of their full registration, but most customers just print out or save the invoice and figure that is good enough. EE 4.6.4 |
Hi, you can add a link to the invoice template via the messages system. Note: this will appear on all invoice regardless of the balance amount. Go to Event Espresso –> Messages. Then locate the Invoice message type and click on the link for Purchaser. This will take you to the messages editor with the invoice template loaded. Then go to the Main Content area and toggle the text view (top right area of this section). Now scroll to the end of that content area and you should see something like this (note area in blue): http://cl.ly/image/2z2228173r00 Add the following to it: redacted – Event Espresso support team – LOC This will be the result: http://cl.ly/image/0s2R3J0K2N0n Then save changes. Any invoices for attendees/registrants will then have a payment link at the end of it. — |

That is fantastic. Thank you for your help. Is there a way that I can include the results (questions & answers) from the Registration Form they fill out? We want them to know what field trip activity they signed up for on the invoice or on one of the other messages they receive. |

They do go out with the registration approved. I was just hoping to make the invoice a document I can point everyone to for everything they need. Can I put the following into the [QUESTION_LIST] *: field to accomplish my goal? I would then put “[PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_QUESTION_LIST]” into the Main Content field? Preview just comes up blank. Thanks for your help. |
I believe these should work. The preview can only display certain types of data. Data like questions etc, don’t always display. |
