Hello, a few registrants (a minority) cannot pay. They get the error message “Invalid Order ID” when they click on payment. In the transactions this is visible in the payments section (see attached screenshot). How can we solve this, thank you! |

Hello, We’re trying to understand what happen here. how often it did happen to your site? Did you also receive the money? Did they receive any message about successful registration? If you did not receive money, or they did not receive any charges. Can you ask them to do it again? will wait for more details so we can investigate and replicate the issue. thanks |

Hello, we did not receive the money and they have not received any message about successful registration. It happened to 2 or 3 people. They have tried again and were successful the 2nd time around, but it left pending previous attempts/transactions (as per the screenshot), where we had to delete each of these invalid order ID payments manually, so we could delete the pending tickets. Independently from that, we have received one payment and the registration was not approved, is still pending. On top of that we have received 4 duplicate payments but only one of the payments of each transaction is matched with an approved registration, the 2nd payment has a pending registration. The way we found out is by matching the PayPal ID from PayPal with the EE database. For those 5 transactions there is no PayPal ID in EE and the related tickets are pending. How can this be possible? Thanks, |

I’ve managed to reproduce the “Invalid Order ID” error and we are currently investigating it further. For me it happens if I select PayPal Commerce and let the payment form load, then click on the PayPal Commerce payment method again and the form reloads. You have PayPal Commerce set to load by default so I’m guessing the users affected by this click on it again and it caused the above.
Usually that happens when others a fatal error thrown on the request preventing the script from finalizing. Any errors within your PHP error logs from Event Espresso around the time that payment was made?
Sorry but I don’t follow. 4 duplicate payments? Only one of the payments from each transaction? Can I take a look at the EE transactions, it may help. If so send temp login details using this form: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ Add some details for each transaction to the form so I know where I’m looking and I’ll see if anything stands out from there. |
