Hello,

We would like to implement the entire solution in our intranet for the initial couple of years before moving to cloud.

I need the below info pertaining to this

1- What are the recommended hardware for a peak hour transaction load of 7200 registrations and/or checkins per hour (120 per minute)

2- Any limitations on the working of the application

Hello Hitesh,

This will greatly depend on your event data. Below are a few followup questions:

1. Will you have 1 datetime?
2. Will the tickets be free or paid?
3. Will you have custom questions? If so, about how many?

The hardware requirements will also depend on if you are running anything else on the server.

Hello Jonathan,

Here is the reply to your queries
1- Yes there will be 1 date time
2- We will not use any internet gateway for any paid ticket as long as it is in the intranet. So the payment functionality will not be used.
3-Custom questions will vary upon event to event, not more than 10-12 for each event.

I am more concerned about the full functionality being available in the intranet.

Warm Regards,

Hello Hitesh,

Sorry for the delay there. I was waiting to hear back from our devs. We don’t have enough details on our customers’ server configurations to offer any recommendations on server hardware. My recommendation would be to run a test with our decaf version. Also know that we do not support IIS.

I might add, that if you’re running this all internally, you might not be running traditional web servers. You could have a dedicated computer to act as your server and not have to deal with external internet traffic.

However, if you’re running on a traditional web server platform and processing two registrations per second. I would expect you’ll need something with about 4-8 processors and 8-16 GB memory. But again, this could also vary wildly and really needs to be tested, but I would give that a try.

If you are sharding servers then that’s a different ball game too.

Hi Garth,

Thanks for reverting back.. yes we are looking for a dedicated server.

Hi Jonathan,

The decaf version does not have all the functionalities which we are looking at. We already have that setup

Cheers,

You can trial the full version of core (which has all the core features, but no add-on featuers) from GitHub: https://github.com/eventespresso/event-espresso-core/

If Event Espresso works for you, then we hope you’ll want to buy a support license for one-click upgrades and support, support and to access any add-ons you might need or want.

Thanks. it looks good so far at demoee,

I would like to experience the full version with the plugins as well. Can i go with the option of the 30 days return guarantee, with the intention of using the same after some Customizations?

You can certainly proceed with the guarantee. Can you describe what you mean by:

with the intention of using the same after some Customizations?

Do you mean you intend to customize the Event Espresso files, and if so in what way?
