I’m running EE4 4.6.19 and have WP_MEMORY_LIMIT set to 128M. My domain’s memory_limit is 256M. I’ve turned off all other plugins and turned on WP_DEBUG but I don’t see any errors in the console. All I see is the black text ‘Internal Server Error’. There doesn’t seem to be any relevant errors in the log file either. What’s my next step?

Hi there,

Is this a new server where you’re installing EE for the first time, or is it an upgrade from EE3 or an earlier version of EE4? If you have Event Espresso 3 installed, you will need to deactivate EE3 before activating EE4.

One thing you can do is check to see if your server meets the minimum requirements to run Event Espresso. There’s a basic requirements you can download here:

The link you provided mentioned NOT to use GoDaddy. I just thought I’d reiterate that since that piece of info is kind of hidden. I moved the site to DreamHost and VOILA! Problem solved. Thank you.

Just to note its not just GoDaddy but is any hosting package that cache all pages of a site with no option to exclude pages from that caching (we highlight GoDaddy because the package is one of the most popular to do this).

I’m glad your site is now working as expected, I’ll mark this thread resolved.

If you do have any further problems please feel free to start a new thread.

Have a great day 🙂
