EE Ver. 3.1.36.5P on WP 3.9 (and acted the same on 3.8) Getting Internal Server Error when trying to get from EE Payment page to PayPal. See Screen Shot. Have included Confirmation Page and bypassing Confirmation page. Have increased Memory_Limit = 128 and Max_Memory_limit = 256 Have cleared my PC’s cache files. Have tried different browsers. I know it’s not necessarily an Event Espresso issue, but any help would be appreciated. Try this to see… http://jecballou.com/event-registration/?ee=136 Thanks in advance! |
Hello, Are you seeing any errors in your site error_log? This is usually available in the WordPress root. It could also be available through a cpanel/ hosting panel area. Could you also double-check that there is not extra spacing before or after any of your information for PayPal Standard in Event Espresso payment settings? — |

Here’s what’s in my Error Log: [25-Apr-2014 10:19:54 America/Los_Angeles] PHP Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /home/dmddesig/public_html/jecballoudressage/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/gateways/process_payments.php on line 30 |

I only have Check and PayPal Standard activated as payment sources. Can provide dashboard login if needed. |

Site5.com Tech Support 2nd Level Tier states the following: The 500 ISE error is reported by the Paypal site which we have no control over. Your site is functional and works without error, but once the redirect references the Paypal site there is an error on the following page: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr I believe that the Paypal link is truncated or invalid. Can you check your Paypal generated link to ensure that it is referenced properly by your site’s code? I have searched through our log files thoroughly but there haven’t been any 500 ISE errors reported in our system which leads me to believe the error only occurs on Paypal’s end. If the Paypal generated link is indeed correct, please provide login details to your WordPress site so we can check on your configuration. We will also need your Paypal generated code that your site uses to redirect to after submitting the Pay button. ——————————————- Not sure if this helps. |

Added a new email address to the PayPal account. Assigned that new email address as the one in the EE PayPal Standard… everything seems to be working. 500 ISE generated because the String being sent to PayPal was NOT complete. Have since put back the old email address and it’s still working. Weird… I had re-entered that same email address many times (typing directly with no spaces). Who knows… damn gremlins! Thanks for the help! |
