I’ve searched the forums/documentation for answers on this, but haven’t found anything recent (only related post I saw was from 2014).
I have a summer camp event I’m working on. Some of the families attending aren’t in a great place financially, so if they’re sending a few kids, the one time price for all the tickets is hard for them to make.
Is there was any way to enable users to pay via installments? I know a bunch of the gateways have this functionality themselves, but I haven’t seen any documentation on it for Event Espresso.
If there’s no existing functionality to handle installments, I’m wondering if you have any creative suggestions for how it might be done.
Currently Event Espresso does not officially support any payment plans, front end partial payments etc however you could create a full price ticket and have the user select to pay via Invoice.
The user can then send payments outside of EE (cash/check payments or even sending payments via PayPal) which the admin can then manually apply to the transaction and the user can pay the final installment online (through the EE payment methods) if preferred.
Another option is to create a deposit and final payment ticket within the event and have the user re-register onto the correct tickets to have them pay. @Lorenzo has a tutorial available for this here:
