WP: 4.1.1
Advanced Events Registration Pro: 2.3.1

I’m looking to switch a site from the previous AERP to EE3 Business and need to make the transition with minimal downtime in registrations. Can I install EE3 and set up the events while continuing to use AERP until ready to make the switch? Or will EE3 overwrite important files/pages?

Thanks in advance for your advice on best practices here.

Hi Oliver, we have not used the Advanced Events Registration Pro plugin so we can’t comment on if there will be any conflicts.

Event Espresso 3 uses four WordPress pages for processing registrations:

/event-registration/
/transactions/
/registration-cancelled/
/thank-you/

If Advanced Events Registration Pro is using any of those existing pages, then WordPress should automatically add a number to the end of the page.

For example, if the thank you page is in use, then WP should create a new one for /thank-you-2/
