Hello there – I tried to install EE4 on my site and it went into maintenance mode with no option to migrate my EE3 events into the new version. EE4 doesn’t seem to work on my site, thanks for your help!

Hi there,

Can you let me know the specific version number of EE4 you installed, please?

thanks …I installed 5.0.3. I deactivated EE3 and then installed ee4 when I activate that plugin it just stays in maintenance mode…if I explore further it gives me that error code…I just have a basic word press site- not super versed in code or anything I’m not a web expert…just an administrator…. but I have been able to figure things out over the years…thanks for your help and your great plugin…I can send you a screenshot of the error message but I forget how to send you an image on here….

The incoming statuses argument must be an array with keys as the $status_id and values as the $status_code EEM_Status – localized_status – 270

Hi there,

I just wanted to note that I have reproduced this and created an issue for our developers to investigate.

This issue happens when running migrations from EE3 -> EE5 so a workaround for now is to use EE4 to run the initial activation and migrations and then update to EE5 although we will likely have a fix for this without EE5 itself relatively soon.

The issue with the migration? No, that’s not related to the encryption type.

But, I’m guessing that reply was related your other thread.

Are you wanting to switch over to EE4 or sticking with EE3 for now?

Once you switch over to EE4 if you start taking registrations with EE4 and want to switch back to EE3 you’ll run into problems, so I’m just checking on what path you’re currently wanting to take with this.

Thank you – yes sorry about that I got the two threads mixed. Ok finally looks like I got things back up and running with EE3. WE will just use that for now. But as you say we need to at some point just make the move to EE4. when I tried the initial instal it didn’t work though with EE4…couldn’t get to the migrate step or anything it was just stuck in maintenance mode. So i suppose that is a task for anther day. Thanks for all your help Thanks for the warning that we can’t go back and forth….will make sure we are ready make the full move and not try to go back and forth

We recommend asking if your host can set up a staging site where you can test a similar set up of your live site. On that staging site you could install EE4, go through the migrations, do some testing to verify all is good.
