Hi, We are using event espresso to register many events and we are using the infusionsoft integration plugin to connect the events with infusionsoft. Because they are existing clients and we already have their addresses we dont want to take their address details again as it only complicates the registration process and lengthens the forms. But when somebody registers to an event our primary address records are removed from the contact and the following note gets attached. OLD INFORMATION: Regards, Zmarak |

Can somebody please shed some light on this. |

Hi Josh, Thanks alot for this and your reply. I would really appreciate it, if you can ask the developer how we might accomplish this. We dont want to disable the update or addition of contacts completely. We just dont want any additional info to be transferred over or if not available in event espresso to over write/delete existing data. |

Hi just wanted to see if there is an update available on this. |
Hi there, There is work being done on a fix and it will be included in the next update of the Infusionsoft add-on. |
|

Hi Josh, Thank you for getting back to me on this. When will the new update happen as this is a time sensitive issue for us. The whole reason we went with event espresso was its integration with infusionsoft. Please let us know as to when the fix will be in place. Thanks. |
The update to the Infusionsoft add-on is released. |

Hi Josh, Thanks for this. Unfortunately your new update has disabled application of tags to existing contacts. Any body who books an event with us is an existing contact in infusionsoft and we need to send them followup emails closer to the events. Why were these tag applications stopped. |
|
And also now, for existing contact, if we get new information like phone number, that is also not translated into infusionsoft. Why is this happening. How can all this be so difficult. |
Hi there, I’m so sorry for the trouble. The change that was made in this update was a very simple one. They added a step where it first checks the address field, and if it’s empty, then the empty field is not used when the contact is updated. This means that if they leave some of address fields blank on the registration form, those fields for the contact will not be updated. There was not any changes to the Infusionsoft add-on that was made to affect tagging, but I can check with the developer to see if he has any input on why tagging would be disabled for you. |

Thanks alot for your prompt response Josh. Really appreciate it. Would be waiting on your response from the developer intently. Thanks again |
Hi there, I checked in with the developer, he checked into this, and he did not find any issues with tagging with the current Infusionsoft add-on release. He created a tag in Infusionsoft as outlined here: http://ug.infusionsoft.com/article/AA-00306/0/How-do-I-create-edit-or-delete-a-tag.html; entered it into a postmeta named “infusionsoft_tag_id” like described here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/infusionsoft-integration/; Then it was applied as a tag to the customer as expected: Can you check to see if you have set up Infusionsoft tagging correctly as described in our documentation on https://eventespresso.com/wiki/infusionsoft-integration/? Regarding the issue you reported with phone numbers not getting entered into Infusionsoft, he also could not reproduce this issue. He had a pre-existing contact in Infusionsoft who previously had address and phone info in Infusionsoft. While re-registering as that contact, he did provide a phone number and it was updated in Infusionsoft correctly. (Also he did not provide address info and the Infusionsoft info was left intact). Can you check to see if you’re using the Phone system question instead using a custom question called phone? This would cause the issue you’re reporting because Event Espresso will not know which Infusionsoft field to map your custom phone question field to. |

Hi Josh, I thought this issue was resolved with the last update of the plugin you did, but I suddenly noticed that this is not actually the case. What is happening now is that with every booking from event espresso (and we are not asking for addresses in the event registration as we already have addresses on file), in infusionsoft state and country are changing to “Unknown” again. I noticed this today so I don’t know if it happened after the last update of the Event Espresso Plugin or if this was happening even before that, but we have since had so many bookings from event espresso and it has totally destroyed our database as we no longer have the states or country for any of our attendees. To be honest we dont care about the Country but we need to split contacts based on their states and your system just messed all that for us. OLD INFORMATION: |
Hi there, It turns out this is a different issue, and not an issue that was added in the last update. The reason they’re set to unknown is because your Event Espresso contact’s State and Country fields are set to Unknown. If you go in and edit the Event Espresso contact and input State and Country fields, then save, it will automatically sync the Country and State fields to the Infusionsoft contact. Then, future registrations will no longer set the Infusionsoft State and Country fields to Unknown when Event Espresso syncs to Infusionsoft. |
